When to Visit

Agia Marina has a clear summer season, here is what each part of the year looks like.

Early summer

May – June

Opening Season

The village opens up. Beaches are quiet, weather is warm but not overwhelming. The best time for a relaxed trip with fewer people. Most restaurants and accommodation are open by mid-May.

Peak season

July – Aug.

Full Summer

Agia Marina is at its most lively. Beaches are busy in the afternoons, restaurants are fully open every evening, and there is a real summer atmosphere throughout the village. Book accommodation and ferries in advance.

Late summer

Sept. – Oct.

Extended Season

September is arguably the best month. The sea is still warm, the crowds thin out, prices drop slightly, and the weather is excellent. A strong choice for couples and anyone who prefers a calmer version of summer.

Off-season

Nov. – Apr.

Quiet Months

Agia Marina is significantly quieter in winter and spring. Many businesses close for the season. Worth visiting for a day trip from Athens if you enjoy quiet, but not suitable for a beach holiday.
